I’m always in search for books that don’t fall under a certain category, where I can lose myself in the author’s voice, forget that the world depicted is fictional and the characters come to life with a soft touch of a pen. “Before I Fall” by Lauren Oliver is one of those books. With 315 reviews on Amazon and 4.3 out of 5 stars, with people of all ages constantly raving about this novel, I had to read it, and I’m glad I did. Not only did I love it, but I quickly became a fan of Lauren’s style, her other books already on my shelves waiting patiently for me to devour them.
I usually contact the author if I like their work. Nothing different in Lauren’s case.
