Oh my, can’t think of anything at the moment 🙂 Thanks for a great giveaway!

I don’t believe anyone on April Fools Day so I have yet to be pranked that I can remember. But I can tell you a good one I did to my mom. My son was 2 months old and he was my first kid. And when you’re a new mom and sleep deprived, you forget a lot of things. Well my sons other grandma met me at walmart to pick him up and give me a break. Then I went to meet my mom. She asked me where my son was. I got the most worried and concerned look on my face and said “Oh shit! I left him at walmart” She flipped. And I got to tell her April Fool and got the crap slapped out of me. But I was laughing so hard.

OMG, Melissa, you made me laugh so hard! This prank alone deserves an award. I can only picture your mom freaking out about your son being left at Walmart. In my books you deserve to be named the Queen of April Fools!

Lol. Thanks. I thought it was pretty good but to this day when I bring it up my mom just gives me the evil eye. Lol.

I can’t think of any great ones. But, I did love when Tokyo-Toshokan (a popular anime-torrenting site) made their site look like CrunchyRoll (an official anime-streaming site).

i was trying to sell my car when my friend called to say she knew someone that was interested in buying it and she gave me his number. it was one of those prank calls, but i fell for it hook line and sinker. when the number i rang was answered it was a really loud, rude cockney bloke saying ” ello, ello, who’s that?, ang on the ovver phones ringing, yeah, ooo is again, ahh shit, ang on a minute, alwite i’m back now , what was it u wanted again……” every time you tried to talk he’d cut you off . i was thinking who the hell is this rude git and put the phone down on him.i phoned my friend to say “who the hell was that idiot”; they were all cracking up. it was only then that the penny dropped.

Yolanda, this is such a good prank (sadly at your costs). Did you ever pay back your friend for this?

When I was in my second year of university I had easier classes and far less exams in comparison to my friends. When exams came around, I was bragging how I had all my exams over with and how I could relax and sleep all day since they were all at the beginning. My friends (mostly science based students) were still stressing over their upcoming exams. They decided to pull a prank on me by gagging me and tying my arms and legs together then leaving me outside in front of our residence.

    • CameliaMironSkiba April 2, 2014 at 8:58 am #

OMG, Amanda what happened next? I’m dying to find out. Come back here please and tell us. I bet there’s an interesting ending 😉

      • Amanda T April 3, 2014 at 7:41 pm #

It’s a actually a funny story. Most people were on exam lockdown so there weren’t as many people outside as usual. For those that were wandering around campus, most of them gave me weird looks. A few even took a picture ( I don’t know why they would want a picture of that) and one boy tossed a few coins at me for some reason. After awhile a guy came by and asked me if I needed help. I nodded my head vigorously and he helped to untie me while asking me how I got into this postion. I told him it was a long story and asked if he wanted to talk over coffee. To get back at my friends, I decided to make them sweat. I stayed out a little longer than necessary with Jordan (the guy who untied me) in hopes that when they came back to untie me and found me gone they would get nervous. Ok maybe that wasn’t the only reason I wanted to saty out longer with him but it made an excellent excuse. When I did go back to my dorm, everyone was freaked out and one girl even cried. Funny thing is, that boy that untied me, we’re dating now.
Despite all the embarrassment over being tied up and having my friends panik like they did, I think it was worth it. Definitly worth it.

      • CameliaMironSkiba April 3, 2014 at 9:42 pm #

Amanda hon, I don’t know if anyone ever told you BUT this story is worth becoming the beginning of a book!!! The wheels in my brain already turn like crazy thinking what a great first chapter in a YA novel this would be. You must keep me posted how dating Jordan is 😉
I think the whole reason your friends tied you up was for Jordan to find you. Everything happens for a reason and all we need is l-o-v-e!!!

      • Amanda T April 4, 2014 at 5:01 pm #

Haha that is definitely a first! I don’t think I’ve ever told my whole story to an english major let alone an author before. I’m glad I could help with the insipration. It would be too cool if this actually did make it into a book! If you have any questions or want an update, feel free to email me anytime at ajtse@hotmail.com. I’d be more than happy to help. 🙂

Thanks Amanda! I have several books in different stages of being written, about six of them, but I always look for inspiration. I’ll definitely keep your email safe and will contact when I’m ready to write the new one. It might take me a few years until then! Lots of sun and smiles from AZ!

my stepdaughter said she was moving then said april’s fool.

    • CameliaMironSkiba April 2, 2014 at 9:03 am #

LOL, moving as in moving out of the house or out of state? My son is freshman in college and just informed us he plans on living with us until he finishes college. And no, it wasn’t April’s fool. In some ways I’m really happy that he feels comfortable enough to want to do this when most kids can’t wait to move out. In other ways the agreement we had him sign beginning of the school year (cook one day a week, help with laundry, chores mostly) it was just that: a piece of paper with no value. Granted, we never reinforced it because we wanted him to focus on school and not worry about chores.

Followed by email. =) Well no one plays any pranks on me because I don’t fall for anything on April Fool’s Day, lol…. & ppl known not to jump out at me to scare me either because I get violent lol, I cant help it lol.I used to get my friend all the time with things though,… once told her I was moving to another state & her face was sooo sad, I couldnt help but start laughing at her. My Mother told me that school had been cancelled for the day. I was a kid so of course I wanted it to be true. So NOT funny.

    • CameliaMironSkiba April 3, 2014 at 9:44 pm #

Oh Mary, THAT was NOT funny. I hope she didn’t make you go to school that day, did she??? I would’ve fought her tooth and nail! 🙂

  11. Juliee Fitze April 4, 2014 at 3:16 pm #

The only thing I can think of is when my son said he was leaving for school then hid in the coat closet to scare me.

  12. Lori Ha April 4, 2014 at 7:49 pm #

My sister who has keys to my car and house decided it would be funny to move my car to another location one time. I came out of the pizza place with my pizza and couldn’t find my car. She had seen me there and decided it would be funny to move my car to another parking lot across from the pizza place. She didn’t let it go too far but she had me worried for the first few moments that I realized it was missing 🙂

    • CameliaMironSkiba April 5, 2014 at 6:49 am #

hahaha Lori, I hope your sister did something nice for you afterward to make up for the scare! Thanks for sharing 🙂
