Signed Book Giveaway Hop
April 16th to 22nd
Featuring Books Signed by the Author
As technology and humans evolve we authors have now a neat way of signing even electronic copies of books. Using Autograph.com any book can be signed with a push of a button then delivered to any electronic shelf (see mine on the right column, near the end of the page).
But I’m still a sucker for paperbacks. The smell of ink, the paper’s thickness between my fingers, the sound of another file being turned… that’s all part of the reading pleasure. With that in mind my prizes for today’s giveaway hop are simple: 3 winners US ONLY, each receiving a signed copy of my novels:
test cover1
AWA-FINAL Barnes
iliascolor1
Interested? I hope you are. And if you are all you have to do is fill out the form below and leave your answer to the following question: Do you have a signed item (be it a book, a DVD, a painting, a baseball, etc) by a famous person, what that item is and from whom? I have a signed poster by astronaut John Grunsfeld and one by fellow Arizonan and romance author Erin Quinn.
Good luck everyone!

BORN IN SIN

14 Feb

Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!

Did your sweetie spoil you with breakfast in bed, flowers and chocolate? I hope so. And I also hope you’re having a fantastic day.

And since today we celebrate love and make/receive presents here my gift to you. I’m delighted to reveal the cover for my new historical drama titled BORN IN SIN (release date TBA).

FINAL-low resolution for web

Is this not gorgeous? I never believed in love at first sight until I saw this drawing by the incredible german artist Eve Ventrue. She creates covers for several authors among them J.S. Chancellor,  Amber Argyle,  and Suze Reese. She also collaborates with Applibot Inc. Japan for the “Legend of the Cryptids” and KLab Inc. Japan as well.

Eve’s talent is out of this world–no exaggeration. If angels walk among us, Eve is one of them. Never saw so much raw emotions encompassed in a drawing as in Eve’s art. Her portfolio can be found here. When I contacted her I have to admit that I was beyond nervous if she’d say yes to my offer. Several email later Eve agreed to sell me the drawing and here it is. I hope one day to interview her and reveal more of her work.

As for the story, for those of you familiar with my short story I Was Here–Before You Came published under Prose by Design‘s umbrella, you might recall along with Ilias, the main hero, five other brave men joined him in his quest for revenge against Emperor Traianus. BORN IN SIN is Zyraxes’ story.

BLURB:

Loathing the thought of his beloved Oriana in the arms of another man, fearless Zyraxes delivers death upon the Roman enemy. With only the rugged land as his bed and the sky as his blanket, trouble finds him often.

Summoned to aid Oriana’s father in the war against two powerful enemies—one of them Oriana’s savage husband—Zyraxes proves himself worthy of more than just noble titles and coin. But he wants none of it. What he wants is her.

When Zyraxes discovers a broken and nearly dead Oriana, though forbidden, he disregards her father’s orders to leave her to her death, and instead chooses to protect and conceal her. Will saving her be enough to win her heart? Will his part royal lineage make him worthy of her love?

I would absolutely love to hear your opinions about both the cover and the blurb. Like it/ hate it? Interesting/boring? What do you think?

Christmas in July Giveaway Hop

9 Jul

Merry Christmas everyone! Yeah, I know it’s only July, but I can start practicing now, right? I mean with so many presents to buy, christmas cards to send and visits to make I thought I’d begin practicing right here and now by giving out a … present.
As you know Claire @ Claire Reads helped by Tess @ My Pathway to Books organized this year’s Christmas In July Giveaway Hop. This hop runs between July 9th and July 16th with the winner announcement on July 17th.

Now, I’m suppose NOT to tell what’s the giveaway for my site, but I’m a terrible secret keeper. So I left a hint. Somewhere on one of my pages (I have 5 of them: HOME, HIDDEN HEART, A WORLD APART, I WAS HERE–BEFORE YOU CAME and ABOUT) there’s a box wrapped nicely in gift paper. This box will go to one winner. It contains… well, I can’t tell what it contains, because the most important rule of this hop is not to tell what’s in it.

For your chance to win the present all you have to do is FOLLOW THIS BLOG BY EMAIL by clicking on the button to the right called “Sign me up!” (between BLOG STATS and TWITTER UPDATES) and leave your answer to the question: WHAT’S THE RIBBON’S COLOR TYING THE GIFT BOX?

Merry Christmas everyone!
