One more time …

7 Jan

Every time I lose focus there is this card on my desk that reminds me of what’s important: little steps and staying on track.

I remember exactly when I bought it and the way it made me feel: free and hopeful. Free of worries that I’m not a good enough writer, that my books aren’t read enough and that I can never achieve greatness. Worries that I am a looser. Maybe I am a looser but one day I will be a winner, because I keep trying….

Friday is for Muses

20 Feb

Can’t wait for tonight when my house will fill up with people that speak my language: writing. Once a month several local authors and I get together to discuss updates on manuscripts, new releases, writer’s events, and exchange ideas and support in all things writing. Add to that good food and drinks and you have a recipe for total success.

If you are a writer and need help, I encourage you to find yourself a local group. We writers are shy by nature and introverts, but hanging out with same creative minds does wonder; you won’t feel so lonely but rather pumped up to tackle whatever roadblocks are thrown your way. Take it from someone who experienced it all.

Now, if you’ll excuse me I gotta get ready. I have a date with … Muses!

2nd Annual Summer Giveaway Hop

31 Jul

I’m beyond ecstatic. I’m officially on vacation. I’m almost packed, got my flip flops, my sunscreen and my hat, and two luggages filled with bathing suits, summer dresses, t-shirts and short pants. While you all stay behind, stuck in traffic in your way to work every day I’ll be on the beach in Bora Bora, a margarita in one hand, a hottie fanning me with a palm leaf and whispering in the sexiest voice ever, “Wake up. This is only a dream.”

I’ll wake up. (party pooper)

The truth is yes, I’m on vacation, but instead of a beach in Bora Bora I’ll be locked up in my office with heroes from multiple stories I’ve started a while ago and which need an ending. And while I do that (if by any chance you see my muse wandering around in Bora Bora … send her my way–she has to help me out) you, dear readers, fill out the form below for a chance to win a copy of Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley, the sequel to Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind, the all-time best romance ever.

The giveaway is part of the 2nd Annual Summer Giveaway Hop once again organized by Kathy @ I’m A Reader Not A Writer, this time helped by  Mary @ BookHounds & Forever Young (adult). The hop runs 08/01 – 08/07 with the winner announcement on 08/08.

Have fun everyone!
