Vacation Reads Giveaway Hop

18 Jul

When it comes to books I can’t buy just one. In my weekly incursions to B&N I spend hours browsing through books and find myself barely able to carry them to the register. Knowing the Vacation Reads Giveaway Hop is around the corner I bought … 14 books (random number I know, right?) and yes, some of them I already have at home but because I really liked them I ended up getting copies with the full intention of giving them away.

So, here we are with a brand new giveaway once again organized by the restless Kathy @ I’m A Reader Not A Writer, this time helped by Jasmine @ The Bookish Mama. Thank you, ladies! Vacation Reads Giveaway Hop runs between 07/19 and 07/25 with the winner announcement on 07/26.

For your chance to win one of the books below all you have to do is FOLLOW THIS BLOG BY EMAIL by clicking on the button to the right called “Sign me up!” (atop all images) and leave your answer to the question: WHAT BOOK DID YOU READ THIS SUMMER AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT?

Here the books I’m giving away:

Debut Author Giveaway Hop

7 Jun

I’ve been waiting for the Debut Author Giveaway Hop for a while now and I’ll tell you in a minute why, but first I’d like to thank Kathy @ I’m A Reader Not A Writer for all her hard work for once again to make this event happen.

So back to business. I thought a lot about whom I’d host and what book to give away. I remember  back in the day when I could finally call myself a debut author with the release of my first book titled Hidden Heart. 15 months later, 2 full novels and a short story (as part of an anthology) I no longer hold the title, but I’m happy to have found someone who is an incredible person, generous, fun, determined and whose debut novel will come out end of this month.

I chose Marie Tillman as the author to honor today. Her first book The Letter is a memoir depicting her journey through life and healing since the death of her husband Pat Tillman, the NFL player giving up a successful career to become an Army Ranger, who ultimately lost his life while in Afghanistan. I read The Letter and was completely surprised by Marie’s style, gracious, humble and riveting. It became quickly one of my favorite books. My reviews is posted on GoodReads, Netgalley, B&N and as soon as Amazon permits it will go up on the site as well. You can find it here.

I also have an interview with her that it will come up on my site in a few days (yay!).

So, if you’re interested in winning an e-copy of this memoir, please fill out the form below. I will announce the winner on 06/14, the day after the hop is over. Good luck everyone!

Maj. David Hunt stops @ Romance Lives Forever

27 Mar

So many people have fallen in love with Maj. David Hunt, the main hero of my newest release A World Apart, that Kayelle @ Romance Lives Forever thought instead of interviewing me she’s interviewing … him. I love all my characters but David is by far my favorite (male hero) for his traits, but most of all for his flaws … I wish every woman out there to be loved by a man like David.

Have a blessed and sunny Tuesday everyone!

5 Stars Review @ My Devotional Thoughts

19 Mar

I officially began the countdown to the end of the book tour for my latest release A World Apart. I’ve met wonderful people, made new friends and I’m so very grateful for the entire experience.

Today I stop at Ruth’s website called My Devotional Thoughts for a review. I love Ruth for her positive attitude despite a lot of pain in her life. She loves to read and share her thoughts. Ruth calls A World Apart “The best thing about the book for me was its realism. Although it had a nice ending and it ends as you hoped it would, I was glad that it was not full of hearts and flowers like some romances are. Everything was quite believable, and the ending was not always assured.”

What better way to start the week?

Giveaway @ Delighted Reader Book Reviews

10 Mar

Different than most Saturdays when I sleep in, I got up at 6:30am to take my son for a nice breakfast before his SAT exam (and really cool conversation. Love spending time with my son!). Then I went with my sister for a fast walk in the park.

In between loads of laundry (just started a second one) I stopped over at Shari’s website Delighted Reader Book Reviews for a quick giveaway  and excerpt of A World Apart. Shari’s website is filled with interesting giveaways, reviews and (hot) covers.

Stop by and say hello and enter for a chance to win one e-copy of A World Apart.

Happy Saturday!
